Yao Women long hair considered the sacred one, and because of that only her husband and children could see their hair bun. So, if there one man accidentally see the woman hair without scarf close their hair, then he would be forced to live with the family of that woman for 3 years as son. Not only that, based on the tradition, their long hair only be parsed in front of closest family. But since 1987, Yao Woman begins leave those traditions.

Today, visitors for Guilin tour could watch the show of that long hair woman in the Jinjiang River when summer and autumn comes. They usually will wash their shine long hair there. Many China local tours will also offer a trip to see that incredible and unique show near Guilin.
